AROUND HERE

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and weekend. We made sure to make the very most of our time. Preston and I were crazy enough to go black friday shopping, but it turned out to be totally worth it. For our anniversary my mom watched the little man for a few days while we went to the movies, ate some fantastic food and worked on getting our new apartment put together. It's still not done, but everything except our bedroom is finished! I'm so excited about it. We also watched my niece and nephew on Saturday and Sunday, so that was of course a lot of fun. They helped us pick out and light up our tree! I am pretty minimalist when it comes to my trees. Just white lights for me! Luckily, Preston seems to like it too. I'm so excited for this holiday season. It's gonna be a great one. We're in full Christmas mode over here. Christmas music, gingerbread houses, and last night we watched A Christmas Story! Yep. We're pretty excited.

This weekend was mostly work. But good work. I love how everything for Bijou Market has been turning out and can't wait to share it all! We went to an adorable birthday party for a one year old friend of ours and spent far too much time at Ikea where I purchased a few funnels I have been needing and of course Elliott quickly confiscated them. Hope your weekend was a great one!

HAPPY WEEKEND!

I know it's the weekend, but it doesn't feel like it! This is going to be a very busy weekend getting ready for my favorite handmade market next weekend. I have a whole new line of jewelry and oddities that I'm kind of excited about. Last night was CRAFT and it was an absolute blast! Thanks to all of you who came and made it an awesome night. For those of you who didn't make it, our next one is not going to be until after the first of the year. But it's gonna be a good one! I hope you have a fantastic weekend, friends.

We officially moved into our new apartment. All of our things have been here since last week, but we weren't sleeping here until this weekend. It feels great to have our own place again! Even though we both are feeling under the weather, we have been cleaning and unpacking to make this apartment our own as soon as possible. It's a very old house (built in 1885!) and I am in love with all of the character that comes with it. The floors are extra squeaky and the claw foot tub! That might be my favorite thing about the place. I'm excited to get it all in order and do a little photo tour! Don't hold your breath though, it could be a long time coming. I hope you had a great weekend and hope your week is off to a great start!

A glimpse into this weekend: A Halloween party where my man became Clark Kent. My sister had a birthday so of course a wall-o-brooke was in order. Elliott was finally reunited with all of his toys we have had in storage. The reason? WE MOVED INTO OUR APARTMENT! Also, my favorite knob in our new place. More details coming soon! I hope you had a great weekend. We sure did!
