A TRIP TO THE FIRE STATION

The other day we went to a local fire station with some friends. Did you ever do that when you were a kid? I remember going when I was a little older than Elliott with my friends and I loved it. It was so much fun getting to explore the fire truck, pretend to drive, try on the fireman's coat. Taking Elliott to the fire station was equally, if not more awesome.

It was a lot of fun and educational too! The firemen taught the kids about 911, yelling for help, and not to run and hide. Apparently that's what most kids do. They also let the kids check out a fully geared up firefighter. A lot of kids are afraid when they see fire fighters all decked out so they try and show them there is nothing to be afraid of whenever they can so the kids are less likely to be frightened in case of a fire. Got all that? Good. We definitely recommend checking out your local fire station. If the fire fighters are anything like they are here, everyone will have a great time.
