AROUND HERE

Obviously, we did quite a bit of egg decorating this weekend. We dyed a few and painted a few. Elliott loved painting them! I think we might do more later this week. Can't have too many, right? We also ran some errands, went to swim lessons, and had dinner with friends. All in all, a pretty great weekend! Oh, and to polish off the weekend, Elliott thought would indulge himself with an extra large bowl of popcorn. Boy loves him some popped corn! Hope you had a fantastic weekend. Happy Monday!

HAPPY WEEKEND!

We went to the zoo yesterday with some friends. It was awesome and an all day thing (more on that later!) so we'll be doing some resting this weekend. We'll also be getting together with some friends, hitting up a new park and watching a few movies. I am also hoping to pull some April Fools day pranks. But we'll see if I remember :) Have a wonderful weekend!

AROUND HERE

This weekend, Elliott and I met up with a group of friends at a new park nearby. It was such a beautiful day and the park was perfect. There was something for everyone! Even a large grassy area (very rare in the city) where we shot off rocket balloons. I had never heard of them before, but they are awesome. The balloon flies up and around, and not just like the regular balloons fly around a room. I mean, these things fly! Across the large grassy area I was talking about. The kids loved chasing the balloon down and the moms loved the energy the kids used to fetch the balloon. It was a great day, and I guess spring is really here because I got a sunburn! First one of the year and hopefully my last.
We went on a few walks and enjoyed the amazing weather. And we saw The Hunger Games! I don't want to say too much, but wow. We loved it. Like, may pay the astronomical NYC movie theater prices to see it again, loved it. Did you see it? What did you think?

Hope you had a fantastic weekend!

HAPPY WEEKEND!

I cannot get enough of this beautiful weather! What are your plans for the weekend? Doing anything Springy? We have some plans including some organizing, a few projects and of course, lots of playing. For Elliott that means going to the park, but for Preston and I, that means date night to see Hunger Games! I'm seriously beyond excited. Whatever your plans, have a happy weekend!

AROUND HERE

Hope everyone had a great St. Patrick's Day! We had a pretty wonderful weekend. I failed to take many pictures except for an outing to the park on Saturday afternoon. It was a beautiful day, so many families were out and about enjoying the gorgeous weather. Elliott made a few little friends at the park. The second picture is a perfect example of Elliott's fool proof friend making method. Yell at the top of your lungs and if the kid cries, tell them "it's ok, I'm Elliott!" and if they laugh, say "Come play! I'm Elliott!" Thankfully the kids usually laugh. We had one crier on Saturday. And of course there was the ice cream truck stationed right next to the playground, luring children and their sucker parents in. An ideal Saturday!

I made the trip to ikea and it was glorious. We had dinner with friends where I tried Indian food for the first time. It was so good! Spicy, but delicious. How have I never tried it before? I hope you all had a great weekend. Happy Monday!
