DIY CHALKBOARD PATTERNED MUGS
/I first saw this idea here, and knew I had to try it! The paint was on back order for a while and I kind of missed the winter months in which the mug is most often used. But I still drink tea in spring and Preston would take hot chocolate with a bit of peanut butter any time. I made the zigzag one for him and the scallop one for myself. We love them! I write little love notes for him. It's pretty great.
Here's what you'll need:
A Mug
Chalkboard Porceliane Paint
Paint Brush
Tape
Circle or Triangle Stickers
An Oven
Add the stickers in the pattern you want.
Tape off the top to keep the tape from leaking over.
Paint! Add several coats to get a good outcome. After you apply all the coats, let it dry for 24 hours and bake according to the directions on the paint bottle.
Remove all the tape and stickers and it should look a little something like this! Ready for drawing, love notes, or whatever you want.
